Description
STHAMEX® MARINE 3% F-20 is a fluorine-free fire extinguishing foam agent, specially developed as a replacement for fluoroprotein or Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) fire extinguishing foam agents, in the marine environment. It is suitable for aviation use in deck-fitted foam systems (inc. Deck-Integrated Firefighting Systems, DIFFS) onboard shipboard heliports and helidecks, for the extinguishment of Jet A-1 fuel.
The product was developed for fighting fires of non-polar liquids with low- and high-expansion foam in the marine environment (tankers, drilling rigs, etc.) in accordance with IMO MSC.1/Circ. 1312 and ICAO Level B with seawater. The low viscosity allows the use of commercially-available proportioners and dosing systems down to the lowest operating temperature of -20°C. These properties of STHAMEX® MARINE 3% F-20 make it particularly easy to replace newtonian and fluorine-containing foam concentrates. This makes STHAMEX® MARINE 3% F-20 the fluorine-free alternative for fluoroprotein or AFFF foaming agents onboard ships, off-shore platforms, etc.
