Description
Our Heliport Crash Rescue Kit has been specially designed for use on shipboard heliports on aviation-capable superyachts and cruise ships. The kit complies with the requirements laid down in the following standards documents:
- ICAO Annex 14, Vol. II
- ICAO Doc. 9261, Heliports Manual
- SOLAS
Our kit has been carefully designed to fit in lockers where space is at a premium. All 4 component parts are organised into hard-wearing, water resistant storage bags; the main kit and helmet/PPE kit have reinforced bags. The bags are highly visible in red with strong handles and strong Velcro fastenings; the main equipment bag also has additional security clips to ensure the bag remains closed when not in use. Each bag has been designed to be carried by a single person, with the handle positioned so as to distribute the weight evenly across the bag, to allow each item to be carried horizontally. Each bag is easy to open and is wipe clean.
The main heliport crash kit equipment bag is contains a precision-cut, high density, dual-coloured (red/black), shadow foam. This ensures it is easy to see if any items are missing, during any audits and visual inspections, making tool control much faster, easier and safer. Each tool cut-out in the foam incorporates push-point technology, to assist the user when removing tools; when one end of the tool is pushed down, the other end of the tool rises up, making it easy to pick up and remove. There is also a laminated audit checklist which makes it easy to confirm all items are present and in good condition.
