Description
The HeliLadder MX5+ Modular System consists of a 5’ base unit, with optional 1’, 2’, 3’, & 4’ extensions, and various optional extras, to fit a multitude of aircraft types and their various maintenance requirements. The cantilevered ladder stands have a rated capacity of 170 kg (375 lbs).
Exceeding all ANSI structural and stability requirements, in the United States, the MX5+ system also provides OSHA compliant access to the engines, upper airframe and rotor systems of most single and twin engine helicopters, as well as difficult to access airplane components.
Each extension has integrated handrails to allow for quick and easy (60 second) reconfiguration. Extensions are secured to the base unit with tool-less hand wheels or 6 AN4 bolts. An optional 3-piece tool tray set offers exceptional tool and FOD control while working on the aircraft. The wide steps and safety handrails provide stable and secure positioning for technicians, allowing them to move freely to carry out their work.
Two optional Field Deployment Kits are available. FDK-1 (also coined the Military Upgrade) incorporates additional protective bumpers, dual sets of support closure latches, heavy duty ball bearing wheels and tiedown rings, making it more suited to shipboard heliport and hangar operations.
