Description
This is a heavy-duty, deck-fitted helicopter tie-down point, designed for securing heavier helicopters to a yacht’s shipboard heliport.
The eye of the tie-down rotates through 360 degrees, tracking the direction of load, for optimal tie-down alignment, based on the aircraft’s position on the deck. This enables a lower number of tie-downs to be fitted to a heliport and provides flexibility, allowing a large range of aircraft types to be accommodated.
This unit is available in both ‘weld-in’ and ‘bolt-in’ formats, with options for aluminium decks and installations with no under-deck access. It rotates through 360 degrees, tracking the direction of load, for tie-down alignment. When not in use and lowered fully, it folds flush to deck to ensure there is no trip-hazard. It also has a drainage hole with a removable plug.
With fewer moving parts, these fittings are also ideally suited for hangar installations.
