Description
This fuel and oil spill kit is a totally portable and versatile, for use anywhere, inside or outside the yacht, for containing and cleaning up hydrocarbons, solvents and other organic liquid spills. It comes in a UV stabilised, waterproof shoulder bag – ideal if you are on the move or need to move it around the yacht.
The water-repellency of the kit exceeds the requirements of BS 7959-2:2000 and is suited for use around refuel capable superyachts and cruise ships.
Before any use in a spill situation a proper risk assessment should be carried out and all hazardous properties of the liquid or dangerous reactions taken into account.
It is important that a suitable and sufficient Risk Assessment is carried out on each incident and correct PPE is worn. Depending on the nature of the spill a combination of the contents of the kit may be used.
